I have recently completed the London Marathon and the 26 miles really took its toll on my legs. It was my first and all of my running colleagues had warned me that the pain caused by the lactic acid build up after the run can be excruciating. I had arranged an appointment with Beautifully Relaxed for a leg massage a couple of weeks prior to the run and was looking forward to it as I was in a lot of pain and according to my running colleagues, had more to look forward to as it is normally two days after the pain peaks.
I arrived at Beautifully Relaxed for my appointment and completed the relevant forms. Jane advised me of what she would be doing and that she would use essential oils to aid the recovery of my legs. The whole massage lasted 25 minutes working from my ankles upwards on both the front and back of my legs.Jane advised that I should not shower until the following day to let the oils work into the muscle to gain maximum benefit and I should drink plenty of water and remain hydrated.
